Remembrance Day

November 11th marks the anniversary of the armistice that brought World War 1 to an end in 1918.
Each year many Australians observe one minute silence at 11am on the 11th November, in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts.

Red poppies are worn to symbolise remembrance and new life.
"In Flanders fields
the poppies blow,
between the crosses,
row on row"
