Sabots on the Noosa River
These little sailing boats are called Sabots.They are great for beginners who are just learning the ropes.They can turn on a 5cent piece and even if you do tip one over they are easy to right again.
This group of youngsters were having a ball yesterday afternoon out on the river.
The name Sabot means little shoe and I am guessing they are called that because of the shape of the boat.They do look like little clogs or shoes.
Here you can see the little shoe symbol on the mast.
