Their only home....

A while ago Murray and I did the short "Mangrove Boardwalk" walk just off Weyba Road.It is right near the "Footy" Ground and near the site where the Farmers Market is held every Sunday.

 Mangroves do have an important place in the ecosystem around the Noosa river and Weyba creek.

These birds apparently reside only in the mangroves....we did see the Heron....


 
Not far away you can cross the old Weybe Creek Bridge which was lovingly restored by "friends"in 1994.
Koalas are resident in the area....although Koala numbers have been greatly depleted in recent years in the Noosa area unfortunately.We didn't see any the day we were there but we did spot this sign on a gum tree.
